What is covered in this article:
PaperCut is a printer management software that we as the IS Team use to manage and setup printers.
When experiencing PaperCut issues or to check it is working the first thing to do is find it, PaperCut does not appear in the start menu so this can be more difficult to find.
To find PaperCut please left click the arrowhead unlined here in yellow, and look for the green printer boxed in yellow, this is PaperCut.
If the green printer is not present, please reboot/restart the device and check again, if it still is not present then please log a ticket with the helpdesk by emailing us [email protected].
What to do next.
If the icon is present, please right-click on it and choose "view my printers" you will see a login box below as show below.
For ease of use most PaperCut Login screens now contain a "Sign in with Microsoft" button which when clicked will open a web browser and then sign you in with out needing you to enter your details. If this button is not present or is not working please enter your full email in the username box and the password you use to login with into the password box, finally click the "Sign in and add printers" button please note you can not press the enter key when you have finished type you must click the button.
Once logged the below screen should display and if the printers are not installed the printers will begin to install, this can take sometime so please wait while this work is performed.
After the printers show as installed if you were using a program you may have to close and reopen it for the printers to show.
Please note that for staff in the CELT offices in the upstairs of Smith Block, you will need to use a different set of printers, named “EPSON PRINT”
If you cannot use/see these printers, please click on the “Add printers” tab and select these to install from there.
This printer is exclusively needed for the CELT offices staff. Do not add them unless you need to use this printer.
Kind regards
CELT IS Team
